I noted above that the call from this number is a scam. They've called me a couple times. Please make them stop!

Got a voicemail from a woman saying that I qualified for a reduction in my student loans. Looked it up here and as expected, it's a scam.

Received call from "No Caller ID," A man who identified himself as John left a message. The phone number my voicemail box shows it coming from is 760-561-5945. In the message he states that his records indicate that I may be eligible for a reduction on my student loan payments. I've never had a student loan in my life.

Impersonated a student loan company and asked for personal information.

Caller ID showed "Private Number" and the male caller identified himself as John. Left message with this number saying they could help lower my student loan payments that I should call this number back. I had recently spoken with several federal loan servicers so it is suspicious of a leak between the federal student loan servicers and loan companies. Either that, or info was tapped into at studentloans.gov. Very odd coincidence!
