I called the number after getting a ring-hang-up from a number whose called ID came up as "illegal scam". This ring-hang-up technique is used by scammers to lure the victims into calling the number back. After calling the number I was met with their automated system stating they were the "business loan department". When I pressed 1 to speak with an "agent" I was immediately transferred to a crass young lady who sounded like she was in a boiler room. Upon asking for the name of the company and why the caller ID showed "illegal scam" I noticed an onslaught of typing, no doubt she was putting a message in her CRM to warn her coworkers of my number and intentions to uncover the unscrupulous activities performed there. I was met with defensive hostility. If you're smart enough to have found this message I imagine you were already aware that this is a scam and won't be falling for the tricks. It's too bad the people who need to see this the most will likely never see it or see it far too late.
