This is a legitimate CHASE PAYMENTECH Fax number which sends out notices if there are credit card disputes. The beeping is the system waiting for a FAX machine to connect.

No idea who called. When I pick up, it just beeps every 4 seconds. A minute after it hangs itself up, I receive another call that does the same thing from this 888-548-7878. I assume they're connected.

Calls several Times a day. I don’t pick up and the number is blocked. I just see it listed on my call logs at the end of the day. Thank god for ability to block numbers. I have more than 9K blocked currently

Got a call from this number at 2am. Answered without looking, thinking only a family emergency would wake me in the middle of the night, but instead it was just creepy, repetitive beeping. Glad I'm not the only one, but I'm still not sure if I should be scared or angry.
