Received text from 443-543-8520 saying "This is a message from AIS regarding an open investigation pertaining to name to verify location information. Please contact the issuer at 888-306-1137 and reference case file number to prevent further escalation. Then received a VM from 201-733-8005 saying they are calling from AIS... When I called them and asked what AIS stood for, the woman said I don't know but this is ARS and asked my name. I said that she should be able to find the file based on my caller ID but that I would neither confirm nor deny." DO NOT EVER say "Yes" to them or you may end up "agreeing" to whatever is said. I have no outstanding credit issues so this HAS to be a SCAM! Refer them to send anything via postal mail and do not give your address! They should have it or can obtain it from the credit bureaus if this is valid.
