Got a call from a local number saying they were from Amazon Cyber Department investigating potential identity theft on my Amazon account. They said there was a attempt to purchase a Google gift card in the amount of $492 and they had vital details/information that I would not confirm for them, saying that "I was NOT comfortable or confident in who they were". When I asked for a number to call them once I confirmed, they provided the 202-844-7944 number as their call back number.

Caller with heavy accent said he was reporting my Amazon Prime account was hacked by someone in Mexico who was trying to make a large gift card purchase over $400.00. I ended the call by telling him We are reporting him to FTC & Amazon. 2-22-21 @ 10:00am
