I received a message on Instant Messenger, that appeared to be from a friend, telling me to call 205 377 8981 about a program that would give you up to 50k and you wouldn’t even have to pay it back!!! My advice, pay attention to any/all messages you receive. The following clues warned me this was a scam:
1. The message appeared to be from a friend but they were using words this friend would not normally use.
2. Anytime someone offers something for nothing....it’s probably a SCAM.
3. The messages asked me to call a MAN named David. Then they proceeded to tell me I could reach HER at 205 377 8981. While I suppose a HER could be named David, I found it unlikely????.
Sad truth but with today’s electronic communication, scams are a growing issue and we need to always keep our guard up in order to protect ourselves, our family, our friends and particularly those we know that could be venerable to these type of scams!
