Scammers pretending to be tech support for HBOMAX. Do not call 1-833-675-2201. They will install remote desktop software and steal your identity. An lady calls herself Nancy will tell you she works for HBOMAX tech Support. She will install software, access your Amazon account and order XBOX gift certificates. She will also create an account with GameStop and order gift certificates. They use the 1-833-675-2201 number that was generated from an HBOMAX sign-in link and then ask you to respond to a text coming from 206-400-9434.
same thing here...told me to log onto Amazon someone had ordered two pairs of nike shoes and ordered Amazon prime...i wasn't where I could log on so she wants me to call her back. I checked my bank account and logged on to Amazon and no unauthorized activity showed up. I then looked up the number and found the same thing happened to someone else...scam
This joker called my daughter and said someone had used her Amazon account and they were Amazon security. Told her someone in Mexico had ordered some shoes and other things total $450. Then they asked her to download a website so they could monitor the account. She did and they got all her info.
Got a call from this number and as soon as I answered they hung up. So I called back and it was a gentleman with an Indian accent asking me if I had an Amazon account and when I said I shop with Amazon but I do not have an Amazon account he hung up on me. Seems to be fraudulent
Number called 2/13/2019, 5:26p.m., CDT. Did not answer. No message. Caller ID came up as "SPAM"
