I keep getting text messages ("Patient Alerts") from this number. I've replied STOP multiple times but it isn't removing me. Finally just blocked it. I don't know if it's a weird scam or just technical incompetence but it's annoying.
Complete scam * auto dialers calling Washington residents is illegal *
Just got a call from this number. Definitely a scam. Before she could even finish saying "Insurance Consumer Bureau" I hung up. When I answered, I said hello, waited a few beats, said it again and THEN I got a response.
I received a text saying my card had been used for a Nikon camera and "to report suspected fraud or unauthorized access to your account, please contact us immediately. Amazon Security Team, 844-340-9995." The kicker is, I don't have an Amazon account.
Popped up saying “spam likely”. Answered anyways and lady said she was from the “insurance consumer bureau”. Seems like a scam
The caller claims to be Amazon Customer Service and wants to help me with an unusual $700.00+ charge on my Amazon account made from Dayton OH. He asks me to bring up my Chrome browser and enter a website ending in "desk.com". NO WAY! A.) If the website ends in "desk.com", there is a damn good chance he wants to get control of my PC. B.) For a phony charge on my account, all a CSR needs to do is ask if I made it or not. C.) I don't even have any kind of credit with Amazon.
