I have been called multiple times and they get very pushy to talk with the owner. All they want to do is to get you to change providers for your Merchant Services. Of course, we all know that game. They tell you how much you can save, when the truth is they have a ton of hidden fees so in the end you end up paying a whole lot more. It may help their bottom line, but hurts a lot of small business.
Same experience. "Changes to merchant account". When you ask what company he works for he just says "I'm at the national level". SCAM. Went by the name Michael Burgeon.
Just another typical scam call. Need to talk to the owner about our merchant account has been important changes. Typical BS call!!
Same as others have indicated - advised he was "above the bank" and wanted to discuss changes to the merchant services account. Sounds scammy.
Called the business I work for 3 times in row, I was on the other line with a customer. We are based in Montana but I happened to have a technician working in Idaho at the time so I got very nervous thinking there was an emergency on the job site. When I was finally able to answer the 3rd call the gentleman on the line insisted that he needed to speak with the owner who was not in the office, then asked for a cell phone number for him. When I refused to give it to him he was very rude
Same as all the others. Had my employee upset making it sound like something of a serious nature. I asked who my processor was or the bank I deal with. She said didn't have access to that information, End of conversation
A very pushy woman named Toni called, wanting to talk about changes to an account. Asked for the company president, then for another owner or family member. I said I would pass on a message, but then she wanted a cell phone number. I said I wasn't at liberty to provide that. She then gave me her name, some code, and was quite insistent that I have someone call her back. Fraud/scam call.
Clearly a call center. Said they were calling about our merchant account and a change in the risk matrix. They became rude when we said that we would have to check with our current provider before making any changes.

Same thing - called today and asked to speak to the owner about changes to our merchant service account. I asked him if he is with our service provider and he said they are "above all banks". Caller ID said Post Falls. Definitely sounds like a call center.
