Got unwanted call from 213-349-9234?
Called repeatedly after ignoring other CA calls for medical records from unknown caller.
I did not answer this call, as I do not answer patient or anyone else calls unless they are known and in my contact list. Requesting anything medical cold by phone is not the proper way to get medical records. Everyone knows this.
Said they were sending my medical records to my office address; when you call to find out who this is there’s a disconnect!
I have had a similar series of calls. I get efax messages every few days and they also call my evoice number. When they send their faxes they do not include a release of information and do not indicate which insurance company or agency is requesting the client files.
Telephone display reads "SPAM?LSANDA CA" Caller says she's from Lincoln Financial; when pressed, says she's located in California. Requested contact for medical records; provided company's e-mail address for this purpose. Not the first time this number has called here.
Just received similar request; gave caller an e-mail address to contact. No actual patient information was exchanged.

Voice mail from "Ting at Release Point" asking for medical records on a patient, giving name, DOB and a bogus case number. Not sure what their criminal methodology is but no legitimate medical record request has ever been made to my office on a voicemail
