I received a call and when I answered it, there was a pause and then a recording that I will be connected to... That is when I hung up the telephone.
It was a robocall saying there is a legal enforcement action filed on my social security number for fraudulent activities. It said kindly call back before they begin with legal proceedings.
“On you our department has decided to suspend your Social Security number and file a lawsuit against you as we have received and suspicious activity on your social to get more information please call on our department number 214-736-3131 I repeat 21447363131 thank you…”
Foreign accent asked me to confirm my name and then my SSN; I called the guy out on his scam and he told me to go "F" myself.
Say your ss number is being used and will be suspended and threaten lawsuit. Whoever created this scam should be arrested.
