I received a call 2/3/22 from this number 216-206-6754 to my cell number. Automated call stating it was Emmi from Cleveland Clinic requesting my return call and get instructions from the Clinic. Told me to call an 888 number, I didn't write it down. Something was off. Then said when that number answered to put in my birthdate.
It said it was from University Hospital and totally mispronounced my name even though it's a straighforward spelling. I hung up yesterday. Today it left a voice mail to call back - I did not.
My husband got a call on his phone for our 17 year old saying they were the Cleveland clinic and asking if she got the Brochures they sent her? She has never been to the Cleveland clinic but we have. When I called the Cleveland clinic police department they said the scam has been going on for a year and they get calls regularly???????. I have now called patient relations and they are looking into it and have filed a complaint with the FTC.
