After several callbacks and attempts to obtain the actual business name, tax ID, license, and state of license, I was hung up on each time. And yet the FTC has had this information, as you can see on this page, for all the numbers they use and has done NOTHING to stop them. The phone company has this information and refuses to do anything. Isn't it time to do something about the protections from these private and government entities that we apparently have given up to the thieves and liars behind these calls in the name of Profits and Corporate Greed. If the callers can't prove they are a legitimate business why would anybody in their right mind do business with them. Why would the people we have hired/appointed to oversee the safe and correct use of this form of communication abandon the end users/consumers? It's all about the money. And these are not foreigners in another country, these are all English speaking people with no discernible foreign accents. Apparently they have all been warned not to give out any information.
