Same thing happened to me. They tried to threaten me with a lawsuit on a card I paid and had over 20 years ago. They tired to verify my address, and the address they gave me was 3 previous addresses combined into one address. Clearly they are a fraud. I've blocked their number since.
When answering, you get a recording saying they need to speak with you immediately about a personal matter. I haven't lived in MD in over a decade. This is clearly a scam call.

Typical telemarketing call- 5.25pm, only three rings and hangs up without leaving message.
Automated female voice left msg stating something about a warrant will be activated and something about my lawyer. I was caught off-guard b/c I actually do have a legal case pending, but there'd be no reason for a warrant.
Person called me saying he was with the IRS and threatened an arrest warrant would be issued if I didn't go the nearest CVS or Walgreens and get a $1000 prepay card. Kept calling back.
Person called wife saying he was with the IRS and threatened an arrest warrant would be issued if she didn't go the nearest CVS or Walgreens and get a $1000 prepay card. He said his name was William Martin.
Robocall threatening a warrant if call not returned. No name of who is calling. I did not return call because there is no reason for a warrant to be issued.
