Got a call. They said nothing, just stayed on line and then hung up.
256-208-9020 This caller, live person, led with "Lander's McClarty" and finally got into "would like to offer to 'buy back' your well maintained used car". I had recently taken my car into Lander's for warranty work. Lander's apparently turned over my information to a '3rd party' for 'marketing' to buy back my car since I had taken such good care of it. This was a sham and scam from the beginning by misleading me as to just who was calling and for what purpose. The caller was well rehearsed and when I asked if he was employed with Lander's he stated "he was working with customer service". This is another reason why laws must be passed to prevent solicitation unless complete disclosure is available at the beginning of the call and Caller ID is truthfully displayed. They called my cell phone which is supposed to be against the law for marketing type calls.
Home owners association on a recorded line. I hung up after hearing that much.
