NOTE MEDICARE BENEFICIARIES: Medicare does NOT call you. If they need to contact you it will be through US Mail (USPS). This number 276-356-0608 comes from an area in Southwestern Virginia and numerous online sites which trace phone numbers have listed this one as "Scammer" and "Fraudulent". I've received 6 calls from this number! Due to multiple ID thefts, beginning around 2016, I am held hostage to a phone # paid monthly for my convenience even though having been on the "National 'Do Not Call' List" since its inception. As a senior it's not practical to change the number. Once your identity info has been stolen it is circulated and sold on lists to multiple scam artists. Do NOT answer unknown calls. Do NOT return the number called or number left to call. I've received messages saying a warrant was coming if I did not return their call. It's all FRAUD - DO NOT FALL FOR IT. So much time is spent documenting and reporting these calls to the FCC, FTC, SSA, IRS, various IGs, as well as my state AG that I'm beginning to think it's fruitless. Unless I recognize a number I cannot/will not answer. This particular number came in on 4/17/20 @ 3:22 PM ET, 4/18 @ 3:56 PM ET, 4/20 @ 3:53 PM ET, 4/21 @ 3:29 PM ET, 6/22 @ 10:44 AM ET and 6/24 AM ET. They are quite persistent. The 4/20 call was automated and displayed as "Potential Scam" through Verizon with a female voice who left the following on VM which began in the middle of a sentence: "...for all patients currently on Medicare. We have tried to reach you numerous times by mail and now by phone in regards to policy benefits offered through your Medicare plan. If you do not ________ (automated voice stopped as if a malfunction though recording of silence continued until the VM ended the call)." The calls started again as of 6/22/20 @10:04 AM ET and 6/24 @ 9:27 AM but left no messages. My suggestion is BLOCK them to avoid future aggravation.
Robocall about Medicare policy benefits. Threatened to "label me no longer eligible for these benefits" if I didn't respond. Hitting Roanoke, VA area hard. They've called 3 times since yesterday.
I have been screening the phone calls ever since all these strange calls have been phoning my home.
Claims to be collecting money for National Police Fund. Never give money over the phone, period. Ask where you can mail it, if you wish to donate. I have arrested one of these fools before. Why, fraudulently collecting for a Police Association.
I'm a disabled person, takes a real low life to try to scam the disabled
Fraudulent police donation organization . They hung up immediately when I mentioned I donate to my local station directly
Recording about medical coverage and I needed to press 1 to talk to an agent or I was in danger of losing my medical coverage.
