Jared also left me a message “about a tax matter that’s come up”. I immediately knew it wasn’t valid. I won’t be calling back but I found it helpful to hear others are getting the same message. The IRS has stated that they don’t call people-you get a letter in writing. I’m not sure what kind of scam, sales call, attempt at identity theft, etc it is but don’t call back if they call you!! If you have any concerns contact the IRS directly.

Jared left a message calling about a personal tax matter. Then the same number called a couple of hours later. I know that for any tax matter I would be getting a letter from the IRS not a phone call from Jared. This is a scam!
