Got a call from 3155631426 saying I got grant money 9000 and that they wanted my bank info
An Indian with a thick accent called himself "Gary" and laimed to be from an energy company and in looking at my file, could offer me a better rate. I asked what rate I was currently paying...he couldn't tell me. I asked him what my address was...he couldn't tell me. I asked him what my name was...couldn't tell me. I asked what was in the file he claimed to have...he hung up.
The caller said his name was Michael Caine, calling from Orange and Rockland unit #392, and asked me to acknowledge my name.. I asked what he wanted ,and he hung up.
They call and tell you they are from the Goverment grant department and you have a $9,000 grant but they want you to go to Walmart and buy a $200 activation card and give them the number
received a call yesterday...nothing but a scam. they definitely don't like to be called out!
This is the second call today from two different numbers. I played along. They told me I was selected for a gov't. grant. They wanted my zip code, that is when I informed them they had just been reported to the FCC. He acted surprised when I said you are scammers and not to ever call my unlisted number again. He then told me to go fuck myself and to suck my dick, bitch. Both times, the men who answered had Indian accents.
