Got a call , answered, and a woman asked for a mispronunciation of my name. I corrected her and she said “ Yeah, whatever, “ and hung up quickly. Clearly not BOA
Answered, said hello twice, I hung up. Thanks to the other comments posted here!!!!!
They called and I answered, but no one responded. After a few seconds, I could hear a 'roomful' of people talking and laughing, but no one ever spoke to me before they disconnected the call.
It says "Bank of America" but lookup shows it a branch in Georgia where I would not be doing any business. They did not leave a message, so it is probably a scam in an attempt to steal your personal data.
Yet another hang up call to go along with all of the other BS calls.
Received a call from "Bank of America" at 9:30 AM in Ogden, UT on 10/19/2021. This is a scam that's been widely reported in the past couple of months. I don't have an account with Bank of America, so there's no reason for them to be calling me. The scammers are spoofing Bank of America's main phone number and phishing for your personal information. Please don't fall for this scam!
I did get such a call, and probably engaged in much more of a conversation than I should have. The person calling had my name and mobile number for sure, and when I answered (I was at work and distracted), she began telling me about how well I'd been doing paying my monthly Visa credit card payments on time and that I qualified to have my interest rate lowered because of this. I told her I don't carry balances on any credit cards except one, and it wasn't a Visa, it was Mastercard. She said well, is the balance $5,000? I responded no, it was $1,600. I was confused, but I think I ended up confusing her even more. She then said, well, she'd remove my name from "the list." I did ask her if she was calling from Chase Bank, as that's the institution I deal with. She didn't really respond, and by this time I wasn't listening anymore and hung up.

I got a call from someone pretending to be from Bank of America. Obviously they were not not and were trying to get my personal information
