Every story is the same as mine Donald Farmer, $5,000 and $1,000 grocery store certificate. I was stupid enough to give him my info and then immediately contacted my bank and the local police department. Nothing has happened as of yet but this had to have been a scam based on all of these other people's stories.
Male caller asked for me by name saying his name was Wayne Davis from Publishers cash sweepstakes saying I had won $5,000 oh, I noticed he said Publishers cash sweepstakes not Publishers Clearing House he also then asked my age he knew what town I lived in and said I've been a faithful reader of their magazines which I have not ordered any magazines for decades anyways he also said I've never returned a bad check from them and had a valid credit card so my status what's good with them he asked me to get a pen to write down a confirmation number for my prize then I said why do I think this is a scam and he hung up! *NEVER GIVE BANK, CREDIT CARD INFO!!*
Gentleman stated I won $5,000 with publishers clearing House $1,000 grocery gift certificate. I wasn't responding with what he wanted so he hung up on me.
Gentlemen stated I won a publishing clearing house award of $5,000.00 plus $1000.00 grocery store certificate. When he asked for my routing number and I refused he hung up!!!! Beware of this caller!
As stated above, I've supposedly won $5000 plus a $1000 grocery certificate but hung up after i refused to give him my routing number or account number.
Received call saying I had won $5,000 and would receive a $1,000 card for shopping from Donald Farmer. Asked for my checking account routing number at which point I said I do not give that out. Then the caller hung up.
Stated won a $5,000 Publishers Clearing House award plus $1,000 Grocery Store certificate...asked for bank routing number...hung up when wouldn't provide. Said awards would be presented by Donald Farmer on July 31st...beware - do not give any info
