called me at work and would not identify the company he is with. Not sure how he knew me by name.
just left a phone message to call no reason, sounded "official". I think this is a scam.
Robodialer. You don't even have to say hello, he immediately starts saying he's a trip advisor and asks "can you hear me okay?" Do not answer that question. Just hang up. Better yet, don't answer the phone at all. They can get a surprising amount of information just by hearing your voice, knowing what time of day you pick up, etc.
Calls back to back using a different digit last. Ex: 410-429-1352 ; 410-429-1353
