Got unwanted call from 412-214-8544?
received incoming call at 6:26am after going through verification process for online banking with PNC 2 days prior. i did not answer since it was not during business hours nor was a message left.
I got a message on my computer when I tried to sign into my PNC acct. that I needed to get a call from them with a passcode in order to access my acct. on my computer. This was the number it came from. I did call PNC bank Fraud Division and was told that this is a legitimate # from them and they are doing this now as a doublecheck for security.
Repeated calls from 1-412-214-8544 @4:50am for the last several days. I will not answer any number I do not recognize. Unfortunately, this has caused a major problem for me because this is a business phone. So I pretty much know if it’s a customer but I’m not 100% sure. I could possibly be loosing business because of this extreme Nuisance. I truly believe that the FCC or FTC should be able to stop this from happening, but there are lobbyists who want this to continue so they can sell you a program or app that they say will stop the Robo calls and/or Spam. AND GUESS WHAT ? They usually DON’T WORK. HAAAHAAAA. We never had this much trouble when cell phones weren’t around, just our basic land line telephone. You may get a prank call once or twice a year, but nothing like what happens now. The Technology either SUCKS, or they just don’t want to fix the problem. Sounds like our current government, DOESN’T IT !!!!!!!
