This is a SCAM number, claiming to be anelectric utility. They have info that could ONLY come from the utility database, which makes them appear real. Pretty sophisticated, and the utility company has no comment....
This is an important message from Duquesne Light, If you would like to speak to a live agent between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm M through F call us at 412-393-7200 if you have made a payment ,please disregard this message. Its a scam called at 6:30 pm.
Received a call from this number demanding payment for overdue bill. Duquesne Light will never call you demanding payment. This is a SCAM!
Got a call- at work on business line- ststed Duquesne Light was turning electricty off in 30 mins- Push 1-- I hung up- Assuming a Phishing call..
This is NOT Duquesne Light calling -- no matter WHAT the caller claims (it is their number, but when I called Duquesne Light they said it isn't them making the calls). We got two more in the space of about 5 minutes just this evening. BOTH times the caller hung up after only 3 rings (not enough time for the answering machine to pick up) and BOTH times the caller ID said "Robo Caller" -- NOT Duquesne Light. It's some sort of spam. I had a caller a few years ago trying to get me to change my power generation source and almost fell for it, then got wise. Reported the number to the PA DNC list and about 4 years later got a call from someone from the PA Attorney-General's consumer affairs people and THAT company got into trouble and settled out of court. But they at least only CLAIMED to be from Duquesne Light -- it didn't come up on the caller ID that way. Listing these calls as "Scam or Fraud" on general principle -- because I know it ISN'T Duquesne Light calling.
Call almost every day. Called 6 times today, I finally got fed up and answered. Male caller with a very thick (Indian)? accent. Told him to take me off their calling list. Was told that was not possible as this was Duquesne Light and I would be receiving a discount on my next bill. Told him again to stop calling me and hung up.
They have called our house several times over the last three days. We did not answer as the phone number is not Duquesne Light.

Caller ID said "DUQUESNE LIGHT" but it isn't them -- I checked with their REAL customer service people, after no legit hits for the # on Google. And the guy I spoke to VERIFIED that nobody had called us from there.
