Call saying they were Federal Reserve. WANTED my mother to deposit money in a TD bank account and the would give her 5.5 million.
dont fall for it and dont give any info - SS will NEVER contact you like the IRS.
Left a message with no name or company name from California which I have no affiliation with anybody from the other coast. With threatening lawsuit or Police Department action if I don't respond but yet did not say my name on the voicemail
my buddy and I kept calling them and screwing with them, I couldn't stop laughing. They said they are calling from Social Security, we got "Chris Marshall," "Don Scott," Samuel something or other, heavy broken accents from a call center obviously in India. We kept asking where we can pick up our money, when they asked for a zip code we kept giving them our phone number then mumbled the last 4 digits, getting the completely rattled makes me want more of these calls to come in. We called them from a completely different number and they were able to pull my name and zip code (they only called my friend not me), so they obviously have access to some database which pulls phone numbers and basic records. Act REALLY concerned, then take them for a ride making nonsense and ask who is sending you a check, then who is using your SSN to wire funds to Columbia, etc, keep asking if it was your friend Dave and how much money they owe you. They will eventually hang up on you, if you keep calling you can take them a few rounds before they block your number in their system then send you to VM. HAVE FUN!
I just received the same robocall as mentioned in other comments above from 415-306-9370
I had a voicemail to call back before they take legal action. I called them back and they wanted my name and I said I won’t give out my name and they hung up.
Just received call stating they were going to suspend my ssn # due to suspicious activity
