Started getting these types of scam calls after applying for SSI. Then after having been interviewed by a chinese woman who could not even pronounce a popular American auto brand. All of a sudden now I get dozens of these calls and my bank has been seeing an increase in these complaints coming from customers concerned about this direct fraud.
Said they were "National Disability" and were responding to our request for social security information. When I told them we had not placed any such request they hung up on me. Called back and was hung up on again,
