My phone is also on the National Do Not Call List. The recorded message indicated that there would be a charge on my (nonexistent)Amazon account for computer services. I called them, they said that they were PC Services. I asked them where they were incorporated and they hung up. I called again, got a different person who got tripped up on saying PC Services, accidentally saying PP services. I asked him about the word pp. He was confused and hung up. A later call the the number and they were calling themselves "Geek Squad". I asked them where they were incorporated, they didn't know and started swearing at me.
If anyone calls you attempting to transact interstate business, ask them where they are incorporated. If they don't know, they are either new on the job and should refer you to someone else, or they are a scammer. It is your right as a consumer to know who you are dealing with. Don't give them any information until they answer your questions
