Got unwanted call from 440-630-1003?
This is a number that is reported as local to me in the Cleveland suburbs so I was less suspect even though there was no ID. A man said he was taking donations for something like "The National Police Protection Program" to help protect officers with gear. I said I would consider a donation because it was a good cause. He said they would mail me a return envelope I could put my check or money order into. He said stay on the line and a support agency would take my information. A lady came on right away with an accent. I asked where she was calling from and she said Carson City, Nevada and that she was ready to take my ready to take my information. I became suspect, told her so, and hung up. I have heard that some spam calls are now calling to get you to talk and use the word "yes", etc. to then put a statement together with digital audio equipment that is in your own voice that they then use to get moneys transferred when calling your own bank or credit card company, etc. This is the LAST time I'll answer no matter WHAT, if it isn't someone I know; they can leave a message!
