Text message from 214-327-8639. Says it's from Fair Offer Dallas and is interested in purchasing my home.
Been receiving text messages from this number stating: "Before we begin with the legal proceedings you an reach us on our direct number, which is 469-327-6731. I repeat 4693276731. Thank you. Have a nice day." This has been going on for around 2 weeks now. Yesterday I called the number and spoke with a man who had an Indian accent. He stated he was with the Social Security Administration and that someone had stolen my ID and that person also had an arrest warrant and was in Texas! Then he asked me if I had been in Texas recently. I told him I passed through DFW a couple times in 2018, both times less than 2 hours. He then asked me to verify my name (red flag to me) but I told him that he should already have that since he was calling me. I told him this sounded like a scam but he laughed and replied, "No, this is not a scam. I'm serious! I would not be wasting my time calling you if it wasn't." He told me his name and company ID number, which I don't remember or wrote down, (he spoke very fast), but I wasn't having any of it and promptly hung up on him. This is definitely a scam. Do not take their calls or call them back.
voicemail was cut off, but the same robocall has called me every day, twice a day for the past week. Two of the times with a completely different, but similar, number. The only part of the message I caught was that I needed to call back or legal action will be taken and then it proceeded to repeat the number twice.
Message was cut off but talked about an arrest warrant and asked me to call this number.
