I got a text message from this number claiming it was Amazon and I had a chance to win a price. It asked 4 questions then I won and it ask mores questions and wanted a credit card number. In the fine print it was a company (Budget Bear)going to charge my $39 a month to help me manage my budget. I contacted Amazon and it is a scam.
Identified as Metro Management Services, asked to verify my DOB, I asked who they were again, she asked if she was speaking with (my name). I hung up. I do have some open medical stuff that I'm paying slowly on, but that name isn't on either of them, and searching that company name, it's all real estate.
They called to collect the debt but I'm already paying/have paid off my medical debt with the original company. Definitely be leery.
I got the exact same experience, paid in full my anesthesia and had this person calling for a balance that was already paid few months ago. I guess they are trying in case it works sometimes
I received a call and spoke to a person from some medical anesthesiology company. She asked for me by name and wanted to verify my date of birth. Having recently had surgery, I initially thought it might be legit, but remembered that I had already received the EOB from my insurance companies and that there was no balance. I asked her what it was about and she said that she needed my DOB to proceed. I told her I wouldn't give it to her and asked for her to mail me the information she wanted me to verify. She said ok, but never asked for my address and hung up. Beware, it almost sounded legit. When I looked up the number to verify it was an actual anesthesiology group, I found out that some others had been left messages to return a call with a verification code to Medical anesthesiology.
Called regarding Google listing. Said he needed to verify our info. I did not approve any verification.
