Call every day for a week Spoke to actual comptroller's office two week ago described mail This number asking for large amounts
Randomly called. I returned the call and it stated that it was the texas state controller
THIS EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME! I did not leave my name or anything. It was so weird, I called TWC back(missed their call) and they said this agent wanted to talk to me and gave me this #5124638322 to call.
I was given this number by a TWC call center employee to call about my SS# being used fraudulently. It's a different number than they normally give out. The answering message is identical to the number normally given out. I was called back from a different (210) number that tried to scam me. They said my SS# was being used for laundering and drug trafficking and I had to take out all my money before it would all be seized by the treasury. They all had Hindi accents

This is a scam. The Representative starts by asking my social security number. If the Government is trying to notify you of a problem it will send a letter. The Rep hung up quickly when I questioned his intentions. Please don't give information to these guys.
