Got a call from 517-409-1203 saying that because of the economic downfall that my credit cards would be payed off - please press 1 to talk to a representative
Called for 401k review. These people are unbelievably rude and unprofessional when they do not hear what they want. I cannot imagine how they get business and if they do, I'm sure they lose it fast.
I have received this message in various forms over the last several years. They got me one time, and will never get me again. This scam is one of the old bait and switch scams that attempt to recover the last 4 digits of your social security number. Typically, they inform you once they have identified who you are by asking you to give conformation of the last 4 digits of your SSN. They claim to have court papers filed in a lawsuit against you. They will tell you that the paper work and the courier who is to deliver the paperwork will be at your home at a set time....and they never show up...what does show up is a charge on your credit card just 2 days later for a purchase from out of state. The purchase is usually recorded as an in store purchase. These low grade criminals that do this are nothin but dirt bags trying to make an extra buck by buying something, and then getting the credit placed back on the fake card or to sell the merchandise. To avoid this scam, dont answer the call. If you do, dont give them any information at all. They have the wrong number if they are looking for you. This scam has also gotten pretty sophisticated by criminals who research the local area and find the names of your judges and circuit courts.....Just remember, in Michigan, the courts are still doing zoom because of covid, and a courier who delivers your court papers NEVER calls ahead of time..that's just plain stupid.
Called to sell me on 401k review. Proceeded to swear at me using the S and F words, calling me stupid and hung up on me.
Voicemails are getting through despite blocking the number. They do not say who the represent or what exactly they are calling about. They leave a case file number. I reported them to Michigan's State Attorney General.
This number constantly calls my phone the passed 2 day on 6 different occasions. Also has called late at night around 1030pm. Have no clue who they are but it is annoying.
