Received this voice mail today. Caller ID shows it from Eugene, OR. VM said they'd been trying to get ahold of.....from a Debt Collector....line recorded....no choice but to document me as being "uncooperative". Never said my name; never said who they were; just that they had made several attempts to contact me for "an urgent matter". NEVER EVER call the number back. That just confirms you're a live body. They will continue to harass. I refuse to answer any unknown phone calls. Verizon allows a setting on your phone that doesn't allow unknown calls to ring through.
A robot called and said press 1 for more info. I did and the person on the other line asked if I was who I was, she said part of my name and had my DOB and my current address. she said they were going to pursue me for a credit card debt in the amount of 24,000 something that I had not ever had. I tried telling her that someone down the line must have crossed my name and info by accident and she hung up on me. When I call back it goes to a dead #.
