Got unwanted call from 567-259-6459?
I got a call from 570-463-2013 telling me they saw suspicious activity on my SS number and suspended it. I waited to talk to someone. He wanted my name which I didn't give. He claimed to be some officer and was going to give me some fake badge number. I asked what their phone number is that I wanted to call SS myself. He stated the number like this. 56 725 96 459. I told him that 567 isn't TX. He said who said TX. I said well where are you. He said MA. Yet the area code he called from was PA and the fake SS phone number he gave we was OH. I told him the way you state the number tells me you aren't in the US. While talking to him, I logged into my SS acct and there was no activity on it. He said well we'll have to suspend your number, I said go ahead. I called using *67 and got a google customer who wasn't available the (567) number and that the mail box isn't set up on the (570) number. Something tells me they hi-jacked these 2 numbers and that they belong to someone else.
We called local police about this scam by asking if they had a police officer on their staff that the person mention not at all!
said they were trying to say that my friends ssn was compromised. it was complete bull
The ph number 567 259 6459 was given to me by an SOB scammer (badly) posing as an agent/officer for 'Revenue Canada'. I played along with his scam for over an hour and then let him know I was on to him the whole time and laughed heartily in his ear before hanging up.
