got a call, no message, called the # back,says it is social security
1-570-831-1296, the phone read Social Security, SSA is 1-800-772-1213. My phone keeps the phone numbers called in and tells who is calling.
Voice message with what sounds like a whisper or a terribly bad sore throat. Said she was from Social Security. Left an 800.775.7802 number ex. 37420. The number she called from was 570.831.1296.She said she is available EST 6AM-2:30 PM.
Dumb Asses--- this IS Social Security. The reference 800# IS the U.S. Social Security Agency call back number. The individual calling from Wilkes-Barre is a worker who must give their Extension #. You can call the 800-772-1213 and verify that it IS an agent calling, and IF it is for YOU. The 570 number CANNOT be ported to a private person.
Claiming to be SS saying they have called 3 times and l need to call1 -800-772-1213 both are scams don't give out any personal information

Is this a scam number, please? My bf just got a call at the phone we share. Female wanted my name verified, also his address. She said if I call back, the number won't work. It sounded shady, but I could be wrong? But she did say its about a form he filled out. He DID recently tell me about a form from work. Could this be it? We are in California. Number from Pennsylvania. Please tell me so I can let him know HOW TO TELL when its real or fake???
