The robocall said my SSN was compromised and that I needed to call the number back
Caller called my mother’s mobile phone asking for me. We have a cellular family plan, so it’s common for our phone numbers and names to get mixed up for spammers and telemarketers. My mother called me to check on me and disclosed that the caller was a lady who just repeatedly asked for me. My mother continued inquiring about the reason for the call, but the lady just continued to ask for me. I searched the number on Google and found this website’s helpful notice, which was a relief to know it was a scam and not an identity theft issue. A week later, I received a call from this number on my phone. I didn’t answer. I just blocked the number.
Lady called asked if it was me. I asked her what this was in reference to. she then proceeded to stated my home address. I wouldn't confirm nor deny asking her what this is in reference to. She wouldn't answer. I hung up. SPAM & FRAUD CALL WANTING INFORMATION. DO NOT GIVE CONFIRM YOUR INFORMATION.
Lady called asking if it was me. Then stated my home address. Wanted me to confirm my home address. I refused and kept asking what it this was in reference to. She kept repeating my address. I hung up without answering.
Called both landline and cell phone one after the other, I didn't answer either one. Looked the number up on the internet and apparently this number belongs to a local Service Master Carpet Cleaning in Chantilly Virginia. They are offering discounts and want everybody to know, so they are calling every number in the area.
Caller called on both landline & cell within 10 seconds of each other after I refused to answer the landline. No response. Phone showed call originated in Lorton VA. In past 3 weeks inundated with these aggravating, no-response calls. Got 22 unwanted/unknown on 27 July alone. These scum bags have disrupted my life and many others.
