On 07/9/`9 I received telephone message from 585-357-9063 stating that (beginning of message blurred) "...Visa card. If you have made this purchase on Amazon.com and recognize it, then simply hang up and order will be delivered to you. If you did not make this purchase, call Amazon Support at 585-357-9063". I had received fraudulent transactions on my credit card in the past that my credit union had to investigate and remove from my card and I was afraid that the same thing had happened to my Amazon account so I called the number. I spoke to a woman with a very strong accent (possibly from India) and could hear other voices in the background. She wanted to know if I had ordered a pair of Nike shoes for $77 from Amazon. I told her no. She said that her office was working with Amazon to assist customers. I asked her where her office was located and she said "DC". She told me to contact SUPREMOFREE.COM to view the transaction. I told her I would contact Amazon and she said a number of times that she was working for Amazon. I again told her I would contact Amazon and hung up. I then called Amazon and was told by a support person that Amazon would never call and leave a phone message regarding my purchases. All communications would be through e-mail. The Amazon contact person (unfortunately I did not get her name) told me she would file a complaint. Hopefully by contacting the 585 number, I did not damage my credit information.

Call is from Amazon and I must call at once if I have not made a purchase on my Visa card for $77.99........
I received a robocall telling me to call 585-357-9063 telling me that Amazon had made a $77 charge to my visa card. I'm glad I went on-line to see that others had received the same bogus call.
Amazon purchase -- wanted a return call to approve or cancel an item. Did not respond.
