Got unwanted call from 585-365-0002?
got a call from them saying are from spectrum and saying they recieved a signal stating change in equipment. and they needed to update the device. thru remote. they were not from spectrum because i called spectrum , this caller was indian and provided this number for call back number when they called it came up as a non spectrum phone number it came as a regular persons phone number.
same as above except his name was David Martin instead of Chris Martin. This was in Phoenix, AZ
Claimed to be from Directv. Stated that satellite had moved and he needed information about my receiver and said my service would be terminated by tomorrow. Very insistent that I immediately cooperate, which I did not. Used the name Chris Martin and phone number 585-365-0002. Had strong foreign accent. Claimed he was in Philadelphia. Called using a spoofed local number.
Caller said they were from Direct TV an asked for you to access your TV by your remote. They wanted access code from receiver and other information from receiver. They stated that Direct TV was moving their Satelite Dish and you are going to be charged $169.00 deposit which would be refunded in 6 mos. They then asked for your secured code, your ssn and your date of birth. They definitely is a scam.
