2/6/20 Received at call from NEW YORK did not recognize the number 607-235-2953 whenever I answered they requested my social security number without even verifying who they are and why they are calling. I said this sounds like a fraud call and they hung up.
Called, didn't leave a message, so blocked. No one in New York (except a scammer) would call me anyway.
Ask for me by name, then wanted to confirm address. I asked what it is about. Caller stated it was an important business matter. Asked again and then I hung up!
Received call telling me if call this number they will verify who I am and that I am eligible for a government grant of $9200, to be picked up at a local store that handles transactions, since they will not mail a check.
