Caller told me that DirecTV needed to update my receiver because they were moving the satellite position for better reception. Asked for his ID number through Directv, gave me his supervisor and a name of Max Wilson, supervisor gave me an ID number and a phone number to call back, nice try will not be calling back.

Caller told me that DirecTV needed to update my reciever because they were movingthe satellite position for better reception. Then said I would get a $40 credit on my next two bills. Then he said there was a charge for the upgrade. When I asked what kind of scam it was he started trying to berate me.
Caller claimed to be from AT&T DirecTV to upgrade satellite system and wanted deposit of $400 to activate but would get money back on monthly billing. He slipped up later and said DISH Network. Total fraudulent call. Also reported to DirecTV with phone number and called said name Mike Walker with an Indian accent.
