Said he was from Ameren but could not even read his script in English.
Not sure exactly, but this guy Joseph said he was an Energy Consultant Regulate Supplier for Eversource and asked for all the account numbers for the accounts we have with them to make sure we were paying the best rates and not overpaying. Didn't like that I wouldn't give him account numbers and told him I was passing on his number to our accountant to follow up with. Said if he doesn't hear back today he will call back tomorrow.
Recorded call said their was "enforcement action" under my social security number.
Call threatened that I was avoiding appearing before grand jury on undisclosed federal charges, claiming it was the office of Social Security. The quality of the robo was extremely low, and very grainy. The call supposedly originated in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Message stated I need to contact them due to a Federal Offense and this would be the final attempt. I hope so! This is the second scam call received in the past two weeks.
