At least 56 consumers from Illinois, Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and 15 other states reported phone number 631-886-2688 to the Federal Trade Commission. 64% of the complaints reported call or text message to be a robocall or recorded message. The last complaint was on November 1, 2022.
These people are cold-calling numbers well outside their trade area (Texas). When stopped by our Nomorobo spam-blocking service, they pressed a number to bypass it by claiming to be legitimate. The caller knew a name at our number and wanted to give that person their "silver report." We attempted to ask them to remove our number fom their calling list and not bypass our blocking service, but they were belligerent and talked over our request. Very rude and obnoxious.

A robo-call that played guitar music to me but nobody spoke when I said hello. Presumably some kind of telemarketing as suggested in the previous comment.
Just another robocall - the second one today from that number. The number belongs to North Shore Galleries, a coin dealer.in Wading River, NY
