Got unwanted call from 702-996-8226?
702-996-8226. This number, coming from Jean, NV, calls us at least 3 times a week, sometimes more. They (always a woman) always claims to be from Home Buyers Association and are interested in purchasing my home. I tell them I am not interested and notify them that they are breaking the law by calling numbers on the Do Not Call List and to remove my number and do not call back. They just pass my number to someone else who then calls a day or two later. This has been going on for months. I get tired of making threats to report them to the authorities but did so today and will do so every time they call. Creepier yet is the fact they always ask for me by full name. How did they get this info and also my address? I'm thinking the public Recorder's Office is to blame. If you are a home owner, your records are available on line for anyone to view and get data on you and even look at your final closing documents regarding the purchase of your home. Your name, address and phone numbers are on these. The Do Not Call Registry does not act on complaints unless there are a high number of complaints so besides posting a complaint here, register your phones at :the Do Not Call Registry https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx and when these annoying calls come in on your phones, report them. It only takes a minute. It's the only way the Feds will get involved.
