This is a scam. They called my landline and sent me a text on my cell phone. They claim that property in Texas was sold and I am a possible heir to a large sum of money. They have my legal married name and d.o.b.
They called my house saying property in Texas was sold and I am a possible heir to a large sum of money. I told them they have the wrong person and hung up. A few days later I received a text message on my cell phone with the same scam. They have my legal married name and d.o.b.
Left a message on my machine saying it was about excess proceeds. BIG RED FLAG!!!!
2 calls from this number in the same day. Prior 2 single calls in 2 days. No message ever left. I didn't answer, I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize.
