This like many other numbers are the result of caller ID spoofing that foreign scammers use. This is the future that others chose for us when it was decided that Americans are not worth hiring. That cheap labor has been given the skillset and access to customer data to pursue these scams. Now it is too late and there is zero institutional will to actually do something about this crisis.
