This morning Colorado’s Arapahoe County Police Department allegedly called me, the call was from someone by the name of Deputy Osborne. My husband called him back to see what this was about & “Osborne” said that he could only talk to me. I called the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department and asked about deputy Osborne and they told me that they are getting a lot of these scam calls and the scammers are using deputy Osborne’s name. I was told to disregard these calls and to not give them any money.

Same experience as others. Called sheriffs office to double check that I didn't have a warrant in my name for peace of mind, but this is definitely a scam. The sheriffs office is aware of this and said to not let these people bully or intimidate you. If you are every unsure about a call you can get in touch with your local sheriffs office non-emergency number and they can help you out.

Got a call from the number of the Boulder County Sheriff’s office and a man claiming to be a deputy officer left a voicemail. He knew my full name and home address and told me to call back on his extension (720-310-7581) and claimed I had 2 warrants out for my arrest for missing jury duty that could lead to a $2000 fine or 2 years in jail. He wanted me to get a cash card with $1000 to pay my bond - money that we would “get back” at this point I got suspicious and had my stepdad answer the phone. Hearing a man’s voice instead of a woman’s voice caused him to say that he had the wrong number and hasn’t called back since. Don’t give this guy your money!

knew my full name and address, said i had two warrants for missed jury duty, wanted me to come to sheriff's substation (i work nearby) to sign affidavit saying i didn't receive summons but to call him before i got there. called ACSO and deputy there said i had no warrants and this is a scam. do NOT meet this guy or give him money! filing a report now.

Knew my whole name and told me they where a deputy for Adams county sheriffs office and to call back, when I called no one answered and it said mail box is full??? I called the Adams county sheriffs office and the where not sure who or why they would be calling me .???
