Got unwanted call from 727-451-7620?
I don't know if this is legit or not, but from a business point of view this does not seem right. Our customer never pays by credit card so why would they want to start paying with a "virtual" credit card that masks their ID? Payment terms are always negotiated at the time the Purchase Order is placed as part of the "contract".
Said they were calling from JP Morgan Chase to change one of our customers payment option.
This is a scam. JP Morgan Chase never calls and asks for sensitive account information, they correspond through the mail or specific notifications based on preferences.
SCAM!!! Not actually JP Morgan, they spoof the number and pretend to be JP Morgan. Hang up on them and don't call them back, this caller is a thief.
This is not a spam or robo call. I work for a very large company where a lot of our customers are going towards this new payment method for security purposes. This type of payment method masks the actual credit card number and information and converts it over to a "virtual" one time use credit card number that will link to the actual card and debit the organizations account. Please do not mark this as spam or phishing as this is a legit call. It is, however, very unfortunate that they are contacting individuals and not businesses due to a wrong contact number being given. Just simply let them know that they have the wrong number so that they can reach back out to their customer that wants to make their payments to their vendors.
Ashley from JP Morgan Chase left a message. They were calling on behalf of the University of North Texas because they wanted to start using single use credit card purchases. A lot of business are going this direction because you are not giving your actual credit card out. They are actually 'Virtual' credit card numbers. I let them know that they have the wrong number and the gal that answered was very nice and was going to contact them to get a correct number.
Caller identified as Nik with JP Morgan and wanted to verify our clients payment methods.
Caller identified themselves as Rita with JP Morgan said one of our clients wants to change payment methods.
Annabelle says she is with JP Morgan and wants to VERIFY our client's payment options.
Phishing caller identified themselves as Jen from JP Morgan. She wanted to speak to a controller about changing one of our customer's payment methods.
