It happened to me too the same way scam
Scam. People claiming to work for the government and offering an $11,000 grant. A one time refundable processing fee of $300. When asked for his federal ID number, he gave me one. Later in conversation, I asked him again. Different number. When I told him that he said his federal ID # was ABFUCK. I hung up.
