Rings once and hangs up with no message. Several times. I blocked it.
This is one of the THOUSANDS of rotating phone numbers being used by Portfolio Recovery. They are trying to collect Zombie debts, debts that were long charged off by the creditor or settled for less with the creditor. My husband died in 2016 leaving a pile of credit card debt. I arranged to settle out every debt that wasn't mine but had my name attached because I live here. I am still paying down his debts but now have a good payment relationship with EVERY one of his creditors. 90% have been paid off but Portfolio Recovery called about a FIFTY DOLLAR allegedly unpaid dentist charge from 2007! Of course they added all manner of interest and "fees". I was so mad I blocked the number. I now have blocked 72 numbers on my personal phone for Portfolio Recovery.
