Got a call today 2/4/20, hang up, no msg left. Guess I won't be calling them back.
Lady called. Could hardly speak English. She wanted to help with my Microsoft problem. I was bored, so I thought I play along. Before agreeing to anything, I asked her what my name was since she said she access to my computer. I could hear her scrambling through pages trying to figure out what to say, but I guess it wasn't in her prompt (I let this go way over 5 minutes, just to stress her our). She continued to ask me if I was in front of my computer and I asked her again to give me my info, since she was stating there was a problem, etc. She was a little agitated. I then told her she didn't have my info, she was a scam, and she was actually calling a government agency phone. She immediately hung-up. These scammers are so boring!
Getting calls constantly from the 760-249 exchanges and tired of the solicitations.
The CSR informed me I had an account with his company and he was calling to report a problem with my computer. When pressed he was unsure of his company's name. He finally said, "Geek." I corrected him and told him he was calling from "Geek Squad" courtesy of Best Buy. He quickly agreed and corrected himself. 'I got bored and hung up.
Rings once and then my nomorobo catches it and blocks it. Usually tries to call an hour or so later. Same result. Checked the number here, and confirmed our suspicions..
