Caller ID spoof says 800-829-1040. Voice Message left was: "This message is from the investigating department of the irs the reason to reach you is to let you know that the irs has filed a lawsuit against your name for tax evasion so before anything goes wrong. Give us a call back as soon as possible at our call back number. Which is 785-615-0106. I repeat it's 785-615-0106. Thank you."
Caller ID spoofing was used to show an IRS phone number (800-829-1040). An automated message told me an IRS lawsuit had been filed and to call 785-615-0106. It was a call center and the rep had a foreign accent. He couldn't tell me which federal law enforcement agency he was with because he need my information to look it up. He hung up because I was asking all the questions.
